Center for Young Adult Addiction and Recovery
College should be a place where students can heal, grow, and thrive.
We support young adults in recovery and help them build healthy, successful lives in school and beyond.
Why Collegiate Recovery Matters
College can be overwhelming. Academic pressure, new environments, and cultural norms around drinking can make it harder for students in recovery to stay well.
CYAAR exists so recovery is not isolated, hidden, or unsupported. We create safe spaces, build peer community, and make it possible for students to succeed with wellness at the center.
What We Offer
Collegiate Recovery Program
A dedicated recovery community that helps students maintain sobriety, grow socially, and reach their academic and personal goals.
Recovery Support Services
Workshops, peer support, mentoring, and educational sessions that strengthen coping skills and help students navigate recovery day to day.
Programs and Events
Weekly meetings, group activities, and campus events designed to foster connection, build confidence, and encourage long-term wellness.
Alcohol and Other Drug Education
Research-based education and peer-driven models that challenge campus norms, reduce harm, and promote healthier choices.
Our Approach
We believe recovery thrives through community. We bring together students, professionals, researchers, family allies, and campus partners to create environments where recovery is respected, supported, and understood.
